Using GenAI during classes is permissible only if the teacher explicitly allows it. During the first class of a given course, the teacher precisely specifies how the learning outcomes will be verified and in the verification of which outcome the student is allowed to use GenAI tools, along with the scope of permitted use (full freedom of use, partial use) and the learning outcomes covered by a complete ban on using GenAI tools. The teacher is also obliged to provide students with clear, detailed guidelines on preparing assignments, e.g. it is permissible to use GenAI to support learning in specific subject areas, but it is not permissible to prepare solutions/answers by thoughtlessly copy-pasting content generated by GenAI tools. The teacher may also conduct random checks of the results of students’ work (talk to students to see if they are able to justify the results they have presented and explain how they obtained them). Using GenAI in areas where it is prohibited is considered a violation of the regulations with all the consequences that come with it.
