Artificial intelligence tools might be used when creating a diploma thesis. The detailed scope of use of this type of tools should be considered with the supervisor; the scope of permitted use will depend on the field of study and the subject of the thesis. During the seminar, the supervisor will explain in detail the rules for using GenAI tools and their impact on the final grade. It should be remembered that the use of GenAI tools alone does not automatically constitute a violation of the principles of academic honesty and integrity. GenAI tools are intended to enrich the creative process, but not replace it. The presented thesis should be the result of the student’s independent intellectual work. It should also be remembered that when submitting a diploma thesis, you are required to sign a declaration in which you state to what extent you used AI technology in preparing your work. Submitting a false declaration regarding the independence of the diploma thesis may be classified as a crime of obtaining the attestation of an untruth from an official under false pretences (Article 272 of the Penal Code). A diploma of graduation is an official document.
