Violation of the guidelines for the use of GenAI, especially if it involves attributing output generated by GenAI as one’s own, may constitute grounds for initiating disciplinary proceedings. The consequences depend on the degree of violation and may include a warning, retaking the task or credit, and in more serious cases expulsion. In the case of diploma theses, this may also mean rejection of the thesis and suspension of the proceedings for awarding a professional title or, if a diploma has already been issued on the basis of such a thesis, invalidation of that diploma.
